Chapter Philanthropy and Service

We are proud to say that the national partnership between Tri Delta and St. Jude began with Beta Mu in 1999!

The Beta Mu chapter holds various events throughout the year to help support our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In the fall, we have a Waffle Bar Night where we invite individuals from around the Starkville community to serve them all night with unlimited waffles. We also participate in Sincerely Yours, which is a letter writing campaign to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude. We love our annual 15K in a Day event where we raise as much money as possible in just 24 hours. We have recently included a raffle in our 15K event where we have given away a Dyson Airwrap, a Yeti Cooler, and so many more gifts! In the spring, we hold our annual softball tournament Swinging for St. Jude as well as Sweets for St. Jude! During the 2019-2020 academic year, the Beta Mu chapter raised $146,081 for St. Jude! Also, this particular year we finished as the 3rd highest fundraising chapter in the nation, and the 1st fundraising chapter in the southern region! Every year we strive to raise even more money that we have before. In the year 0f 2020-2021, we raised a total of $166,651!
