T.K. Martin Center

As of spring 2022, our chapter has created a partnership with the T.K. Martin Center as our local philanthropy! This organization provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary evaluations and services to remove limitations through the application of assistive technology, evidence-based practice, training, and educational supports. They allow individuals across the lifespan to participate in educational, vocational, and leisure activities to the fullest degree they choose, while continuing to advance research in disability.

The T.K. Martin Center is right on campus, beside the Longest Student Health Center. Their mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through cutting edge technologies while allowing individuals to learn valuable techniques. This organization is a service center open to any individual regardless of the age or diagnosis. Impairment has many limiting effects, which can be broadly categorized into the following, none of which is mutually exclusive: mobility, dexterity, communication, seeing and hearing (sensory function), and learning and understanding (cognitive function). We are excited to begin our service with the T.K. Martin center in the fall of 2022! We cannot wait to see how the individuals at this organization change our lives through this experience!
